54th Klamath Salmon Festival Saturday August 20, 2016

The Yurok Tribe puts on the annual Salmon Festival to provide an opportunity for the whole community to come together and celebrate the bounty of the Klamath River. The family-focused event is free and open to all. The festival, which has grown in each of the last three years, typically draws upwards of 3,500 people. The Festival features live music, games for kids and high quality gifts and sweet treats sold by more than a 100 vendors. There is a Classic Car Show, a parade and cultural demonstrations. Indian Card Game and Stick Game Tournaments will be going on throughout the day.

Bangin’ at the Beach is a 1 day PDGA sanctioned C-Tier disc golf tournament hosted by Wild Rivers Disc Golf Club and held at beautiful scenic Beachfront Park in Crescent City, California. The day will consist of 2 rounds of 21 holes (map coming soon) followed by a great CTP basket giveaway contest. Lunch will be provided by Teri’s Skueyen Popsew, a great local food vendor who uses organic produce when available. Each plate includes Indian taco and drink for $7. Don’t forget to include Teri’s meal when registering for the event on disc golf scene (link below). Also, WRDGC will be hosting its weekly Sunday dubs the following morning so plan on staying Saturday night and hitting up dubs 9:00am @ BFP.
