Elk Prairie Campground

One of the best places to view Roosevelt Elk, this campground is located in the heart of an old-growth redwood forest and next to a prairie. 75 RV or tent sites are available. RV Length limit is 27 feet, 24 feet for trailers. Facilities/amenities include nature center, bookstore, no hookups, bear-proof lockers, showers, restrooms, picnic area, over 70 miles of trails, hiker/biker sites, dump station, fire pits and handicap access. There are ranger-led walks, junior ranger and evening campfire programs. Open all year.

Directions: Located off Highway 101 on Newton B. Drury Scenic Parkway in Prairie Creek Redwoods Park.
