Jedediah Smith Campground

This park is set along the wild, scenic, jade-green Smith River. Unparalleled fishing and great hiking.

Not only are the campsites sprinkled among a grove of old-growth redwoods, the scenic Smith River runs by the campground. Activities include fishing, swimming, kayaking, canoeing and much more. There are 106 RV or tent sites. Although there are no hookups, the facilities include showers, restrooms, dump station, nature center, picnic area and many miles of hiking trails. Open year round.

Directions: From Crescent City, drive north on Highway 101 for 4 miles. Turn right on Highway 199 and drive 5 miles. Located on Highway 199 at Hiouchi, CA
