October is harvest time and one of the best times of year to visit the north coast.  Plenty of harvest festivities to choose from and nature never stops calling from the ocean to the rivers and redwoods there’s plenty to explore, or just enjoy the beauty all around.


Live From Downtown it’s First Friday

Sea Cruise Weekend is full of great things to do! Starting Downtown Friday at 4PM with Show & Shine and Live from Downtown: it’s First Friday! Blues Brews & Cruise Friday from 6 to 9PM at the Clock Tower Parking Lot. Beachfront Park on Saturday for the car show, the Sea Cruise Dance at the Fairgrounds Saturday night, and the Poker Run on Sunday.


On the first Friday of each month from 4:00 – 7:00 pm discover live music, food trucks and various vendors, writers/book signings, performance art, specials at downtown stores.

Find all this and more every first Friday on 3rd street in downtown Crescent City.

Blues, Brews, and Cruise Oct. 6th

The Blues, Brews and Cruise will be held in the evening, after the Show ‘n’ Shine.  It features live blues music, microbrews & food and a closed sanctioned cruise (limited to Sea Cruise entrants).  The Blues & Brews will be held in the parking lot at the corner of 3rd & K Streets.

6:00pm – 8:00pm – Closed sanctioned cruise around downtown Crescent City

5:00pm – 9:00pm – Brews & Food featuring local craft beer by Port O’Pints Brewing Company & SeaQuake Brewing

6:00pm – 7:00pm – DJ music

7:00pm – 9:00pm – Live music by Brad Wilson & the Rollin’ Blues Thunder Band

26th Annual Sea Cruise Car Show

26th Annual Sea Cruise

Join us for a Show ‘n’ Shine in downtown Crescent City on Friday from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.  Wander down 3rd Street between G & K Streets to view classic cars up close.

After the Show ‘n’ Shine, a sanctioned closed cruise, limited to vehicles which are registered for the car show, will go through downtown Crescent City as part of the Blues, Brews & Cruise event, which will feature a blues band, microbrews and food.   For more information on the Blues, Brews & Cruise go to www.delnorte.org/event/blues-brews-cruise/

The Car Show is in Beachfront Park on Saturday and also features live music.  Judging will be between 10:00am and noon; awards are announced at 3:00pm.  Food and marketplace vendors will be open throughout the day.

Downtown Crescent City Farmers & Artisans Market

Downtown Crescent City, Ends Oct. 28th

Sponsored by the Downtown Divas, this seasonal Downtown Crescent City Farmers & Artisans Market begins June 3rd and ends October 28th. The market features homegrown fruit and vegetables along with handmade products from local vendors. Come enjoy lunch at the market. It is held in the parking lot on the corner of Front and K Streets.

Del Norte County Fairgrounds, ends Oct. 25th

Held in the Del Norte County Fairgrounds parking lot, the Crescent City Farmers Market will run every week 9:00am – 1:00pm from June 6th to October 31st. The only exception is the Saturday of the Del Norte County Fair, which is August 8th. For more information, call 707-464-7441.
