Video: Tsunami of 1964

Here is a video on the Tsunami of 1964 that devastated the Norther Coast of California. The tsunami hit on March 28, 1964, and was caused by a violent earthquake measuring 8.8 on the Richter scale whose epicenter was located in Anchorage, Alaska. The tidal surge that followed destroyed 150 businesses and homes and killed 11 people in Del Norte County. The downtown area of Crescent City was virtually destroyed.
